Day 2

Start the day mid morning,  tour the Temple of Heaven and see the famous buildings & platform used for the harvest prayers, stand on the exact same stone emperors have used for ceremonies.

    

Visit the Laoshe Tea House, and enjoy live music while sipping traditional teas.

Continue to the Forbidden City, and spend the afternoon rambling about this picture-perfect city within a city, perfectly preserved and restored.

    

Finish the northerly route (and the afternoon) at Tiananmen Square.

    

Have dinner at nice Beijing restaurant with home style cooking dishes.

Enjoy a traditional performance of Beijing Opera in the evening.
